Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hose by “Poly-Flow” offers a significant added value when compared to wire reinforced rubber hose. Thermoplastic provides extreme chemical compatibility, noise-level redirection, ultraviolet and corrosion resistance. They are lighter in weight and offer superior abrasion resistance over their rubber equivalents. Fiber braided thermoplastic hydraulic hose also maintains better fatigue resistance than a wire reinforced hose. Also, unlike wire-reinforced rubber hydraulic hose, thermoplastic hose lends itself to non-conductive styles. Our orange covered non-conductive styles are ideal for use in applications such as aerial lift equipment. These non-conductive hoses meet SAE J517 that requires less than 50 micro-amperes leakage when subjected to 75,000 volts/ft for five minutes. They also comply with ANSI 92.2 for vehicle mounted aerial devices. Our thermoplastic hydraulic hose is available in twin or multi-line styles.
Our Series 4700, 4700NC, and 4730LT are in line with SAE 100R7 specifications, while our Series 4800, 4800NC, and 4850 specifications are in line with SAE 100R8. In comparison to rubber hydraulic hose with wire reinforcement, SAE 100R7 is comparable in pressure rating to SAE 100R1 and SAE 100R8 is comparable to SAE 100R2. In order to offer a lighter, more streamlined hose, our Series 4800 is constructed using Aramid fiber. This produces a hose with a high-pressure rating, but significantly lighter in weight and smaller in outside diameter, making it easier to handle and install. SAE refers to SAE International (the Society of Automotive Engineers) and is the internationally recognized agency that sets the standards, specifications, and applications for hydaulics.
